14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.
We are aware of this more and more in the world around us as technology has made reporting instant – even while it is happening – and this is something we were not used to ten/fifteen years ago.
It also goes on the say
Matthew 24:9-14
9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
There will then be events happening in the skies
Matthew 24:29
29 “Immediately after the distress of those days
“‘the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’
And Jesus will appear in the sky with the rapture occurring.
Matthew 24:30-31
30 “At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
But as much as one man may try to convince the world that this time has arrived, he has forgotten the other scripture
Matthew 24:36
The day the world was supposed to end has been and gone and I am not surprised. I do believe that God is going to come back and take all His believers with him.
It says in the bible
6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains. The Day and Hour Unknown
36 “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.Only God knows the time as it depends on the things that need to happen before hand. God knows the plans He has for us but we still have our own will (choice) or go against God (sin).
Note back in verse 11 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. The people (false prophets) will deceive us. It does not matter what they say and try to convince us because the bible is the truth and if we hold on to what it says “no one knows about that day or hour” we need not be afraid of an impending day or time someone tries to tell us will come.
Verse 42 says
42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
We are encouraged to continue to live our lives as Christ woild want us to be so that when he does come we will be found ready
Verse 44
44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
